Six-year-old Ed Burnes received his first accordion from a door-to-door salesman on a trial basis. He then took lessons at the Midwest Academy of Music in Skokie and then at the Wilkens School of Music. And, long after that trial, he is still playing. Coined the “Step Up Tour”, Ed, after sharing his accordion talents with us by twice doing the pre-meeting music and playing in the CAC Ensemble for a few years, will step up to the Main Stage for his inaugural performance. Ed, also a CAC board member, will be playing classical pieces, as well as songs from the American Songbook.
